The AKT stevedores, the transport workers union in Finland, along with other port-associated labor organizations, have declared the extension of their political strikes from March 25 to April 1.

This current strike, initiated on March 11, is disrupting cargo movements at Finnish ports, though passenger services are operating as usual.

AKT has expressed strong disapproval of the government's agenda, stating, "The pity is very small compared to what is coming from the government's side." The union criticizes the government's policies for "significantly diminish the rights of employees within both the workplace and society".
