SFL Corporation Signs Agreement to Charter Vessels to Maersk

SFL Corporation has secured contracts and extensions with Maersk Shipping Line for its container ships. On Tuesday, May 14, SFL Corporation signed an agreement to charter three of its 10,600 TEU vessels to Maersk for five years.

The 2015-built vessels, Cap San Juan, Cap San Vincent, and Cap San Lazaro, will be chartered by Maersk until mid-2030. The total value of the charter for these three vessels is approximately $210 million.

Previously, SFL Corporation had chartered its feeder containership, Green Ace, to Maersk. The 1,700 TEU vessel will remain under charter until the fourth quarter of 2024.

SFL Corporation currently has 34 container ships under long-term charter agreements with major shipping lines.
