Riviera Travel Adds Festive and Food Cruises for 2026

Riviera Travel has broadened its 2026 cruise lineup with a new holiday-themed sailing and three culinary-focused itineraries across Europe’s iconic rivers. 

“For four decades, Riviera has led the industry in immersive travel, creating unforgettable journeys through expertly crafted itineraries,” said Stuart Milan, Riviera’s president of North America. 

“Our expanded 2026 portfolio offers unmatched experiences that showcase the beauty of Europe during the holiday season while providing travelers who have a taste for the finest global food and wine a unique new way to explore Europe’s legendary river destinations,” Milan added. 

According to a company press release, Riviera’s festive cruises will sail along the Rhine, Danube, and Seine, offering guests the chance to explore Europe’s enchanting Christmas markets. 

Among the new additions is the “Magical Paris & Festive Seine River Cruise”, a five-day holiday sailing aboard the MS Jane Austen, departing roundtrip from Paris. Highlights include tours of historic estates, a visit to Bizy Castle, explorations of three French châteaux, and a private organ concert at Vernon Cathedral. Guests will also experience the Parisian Christmas markets. This seasonal itinerary will run exclusively in December 2026, with fares starting at $1,749 per person. 

The company is also launching a trio of gastronomy-themed river cruises, showcasing local cuisine and wine along some of Europe’s most celebrated waterways. 

New 2026 Culinary Cruises: 

  • Gastronomy of the Danube 
  • This eight-day cruise explores Hungary, Slovakia, and Austria with 15 included excursions. Guests will visit iconic spots like Schönbrunn Palace, the scenic Wachau Valley, and bustling Budapest markets. Prices start at $3,399 per person, with departures scheduled from April through October 2026. 
  • Gastronomy of the Rhine and Moselle 

Focused on German culture and cuisine, this itinerary offers 11 included experiences. Stops include tastings in Bernkastel and Rüdesheim, and a visit to the Koblenz Wine and Sparkling Wine Museum. Sailings are available from April to August 2026, starting at $3,649 per person. 

  • Gastronomy of the Seine 

This eight-day journey highlights Normandy’s culinary heritage, including 13 experiences in Paris and Chateau de Bizy. Guests can also enjoy a live cooking demonstration onboard. Cruises run from April through October 2026, with rates beginning at $2,799 per person. 

With these new itineraries, Riviera Travel continues to offer immersive river experiences that blend culture, celebration, and fine dining across Europe’s most beloved destinations.
