Norwegian Jade Kicks Off Fall Cruise Season in Boston, USA
The Norwegian Jade has recently docked in Boston, marking the start of its fall cruise season in the U.S. Northeast and Canada.
Running through late October, the ship's itinerary includes a series of roundtrip cruises to various destinations in Canada and New England, such as Corner Brook, Charlottetown, and Portland.
Having set sail from its new homeport in Massachusetts on August 29, the Jade is currently on a seven-night cruise through the region. The itinerary includes two days at sea and stops at ports like Halifax, Charlottetown, Sydney, and Corner Brook.
This fall cruise program continues until mid-October, after which the ship will relocate to Miami, where it will embark on a series of short cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
For the 2024-25 winter season, the Norwegian Jade is slated to offer cruises ranging from three to 14 nights, including open-jaw sailings through the Panama Canal.
Before moving its operations to Boston, the vessel, which was built in 2006, had been offering Caribbean cruises departing from Port Canaveral.
In addition to the Norwegian Jade, the Norwegian Gem has also begun its fall program in Canada and New England, following a summer season in the U.S. Northeast and Bermuda.
Sailing between Boston and Quebec City, the Gem will offer a variety of itineraries in the region through late October, with seven-night cruises stopping at ports such as Bar Harbor, Halifax, Sydney, Saguenay, Portland, and Charlottetown.
Another Norwegian Cruise Line vessel, the Norwegian Breakaway, has also arrived in the U.S. Northeast for a seasonal program. After reaching Manhattan on August 25, the 4,100-passenger ship is now offering week-long cruises to Bermuda, Canada, and New England.
Two more ships from the company are set to operate in the region in the coming weeks: the Norwegian Sky and the Norwegian Joy. While the Norwegian Sky offers open-jaw cruises to Canada and New England, the Norwegian Joy is scheduled to provide five- to eight-night itineraries, including visits to Bermuda.
