Margaritaville at Sea has canceled the upcoming sailing of the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise as a result of the impact from Hurricane Milton on Florida.

In a statement released by the cruise line, the scheduled departure on October 9 will no longer take place. The ship was originally set to offer a two-night voyage from Palm Beach to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.

“Our onboard and shoreside teams have been monitoring the current trajectory of Hurricane Milton along with the Port of Palm Beach and the U.S. Coast Guard,” Margaritaville at Sea stated.

The cruise line added, “Based on the latest assessment, we have an important update to our sailing schedule,” further explaining that the Port of Palm Beach had been closed by the Coast Guard on Tuesday afternoon.

Margaritaville at Sea anticipates port operations may resume by Friday, October 11, but the decision is ultimately in the hands of the USCG and the Port of Palm Beach authorities, pending a safety review.

As a result of the closure, the October 9 sailing aboard Margaritaville at Sea Paradise has been canceled, and the company will send additional information to guests via email.

Earlier this week, the cruise line took proactive measures by advancing a departure aboard the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, originally scheduled for October 8 from Tampa. To avoid potential port closure, the cruise departed one day early, on October 7, allowing guests to board without any extra fees or port costs.

In related developments, Disney Cruise Line also canceled a Florida-based sailing this week due to the projected path of Hurricane Milton.
