The FAX/IEA/EAX/REA/FAS joint service, operated by Emirates Shipping Line, Global Feeder Shipping, Interasia Lines, KMTC, Regional Container Lines, and T.S. Lines is set for a major overhaul.

Starting in October, the service will be split into two separate loops, each dedicated to different routes targeting Kenya and Tanzania.

This restructuring introduces two enhanced services. The FNX/IEA/EAX1 loop will feature eight vessels, each with a capacity of 2,200 TEUs, and will follow a route connecting Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou (Nansha), Shenzhen (Chiwan), and Port Kelang, before arriving in Dar es Salaam and returning to Qingdao.

The FHX/IEA/EAX2 loop will deploy eight vessels with a larger capacity of 2,400 TEUs. This service will sail from Qingdao to Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou (Nansha), and Port Kelang, continuing to Mombasa, and then return to Qingdao.

Evergreen Line will strengthen its role in the network, transitioning from a slot operator to a vessel provider for both loops, boosting the service’s overall capacity and efficiency.
