Columbia Cruise Services Opens Shanghai, China Office
Columbia Cruise Services (CCS) has launched a new office in Shanghai, positioned alongside its cruise partner Adora Cruises.
According to a company press release, the new location is intended to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations and improve support for daily fleet operations.
The office will assist with a range of services, including technical management, marine operations, and crew support across Adora’s cruise fleet.
Norman Schmiedl, CEO of Columbia Blue, said: “China is a vital strategic market for Columbia, and our cooperation with Adora Cruises is a key part of our global business. Being closer to our customer allows us to provide more responsive and joined-up support across operations.”
The opening was marked with a joint ceremony attended by senior representatives from both companies with Hendrik Stellamanns, managing director of Columbia Cruise Services, and Norman Schmiedl joining Adora Cruises executives for the ribbon-cutting event.
“We are pleased to further strengthen our partnership with Columbia Group. Having our teams working side by side in Shanghai will enhance operational coordination, support the smooth delivery of Adora Flora City, and further strengthen the safe and efficient operation of our fleet,” said Roger Chen, CEO of Adora Cruises.
“As safety remains our highest priority, this closer collaboration will help us maintain the highest standards across our maritime operations while continuing to provide high-quality cruise experiences for our guests.”
