The Carnival Panorama departs from its homeport in Long Beach today, embarking on an 18-night cruise that will take passengers to Alaska and Japan. This distinctive open-jaw itinerary concludes in Yokohama and includes six stops along the way.

As part of Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Journeys program, the voyage begins with visits to three Alaskan destinations: Ketchikan, Sitka, and Icy Strait Point. Before crossing the Pacific, the 4,000-passenger ship will offer scenic cruising through the Endicott Arm Fjord.

After eight days at sea, the Panorama will reach Asia for the first time, with scheduled stops in Otaru and Aomori, Japan. The journey is set to conclude at the Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal on September 10, 2024.

Celebrating its fifth year in service in 2024, the Carnival Panorama is scheduled for drydock in Asia before returning to North America. During its time in the shipyard, the 135,000-ton vessel will undergo routine maintenance, class work, and receive Carnival’s new livery, along with occasional updates to its public areas and cabins.

Once the work is completed, the Carnival Panorama will embark on an even longer trans-Pacific voyage. The 25-night return trip will depart from Singapore on October 12, 2024, and sail back to Long Beach.

This repositioning cruise features stops in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia; Manila, Philippines; and Guam, Mariana Islands. Before arriving back in California, the Panorama will also make its inaugural visit to Hawaii, including an overnight stay in Honolulu.

On November 5, the ship will resume its regular schedule of cruises to the Mexican Riviera, offering year-round six- to eight-night itineraries with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, Ensenada, and La Paz.
