AIDA Cruises is embarking on its most ambitious fleet modernization to date.

“We are looking forward to the largest fleet modernization program in our company’s history,” said Steffi Heinicke, senior vice president of guest experiences and onboard revenue.

The ambitious program involves three ships undergoing significant upgrades during scheduled drydock periods. The AIDAdiva will be the first, entering the Chantiers Naval shipyard in Marseille from February to March. Later in the year, the AIDAluna will follow, spending October to December in drydock. The AIDAbella will complete the program from January to March 2026.

“The clear focus of our modernization program is to be able to offer a larger variety of experiences, services, and comforts to our guests. In that respect, all cabins will be given a fresh look with new color concepts. In addition, we will be offering a larger range of suites. This will be complemented with new exclusive areas and services,” Heinicke explained.

Enhancements will extend to dining, entertainment, and wellness facilities. Guests can look forward to eight restaurants and 15 bars and cafés serving a mix of national and international cuisines. Popular features from newer ships, such as the Lanai Bar, Tokyo Bar, French Kiss, and Yacht Club Restaurant, will be added to the AIDAdiva. A new Asian dining venue, East Fusion, will also debut as part of the upgrades.
