The OCEAN Alliance, comprised of maritime giants CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen, and OOCL, has unveiled its refreshed service offering, dubbed the "DAY 8 Product," following a five-year extension of their collaboration.

This innovative initiative is designed to address the challenges arising from the unpredictable conditions in the Red Sea, with a launch slated for April. The DAY 8 Product will feature:

- A fleet of 321 container vessels, with 119 ships provided by the CMA CGM Group

- A total of 35 global services

- An overall capacity nearing 4.5 million TEUs

Key offerings of the DAY 8 Product for Asia-related trade routes include:

- Six routes between Asia and Northern Europe

- Four routes between Asia and the Mediterranean

- Twenty Transpacific routes, comprising eight services to the U.S. East Coast and twelve to the U.S. West Coast and Canada

- Two Transatlantic routes linking Northern Europe with North American ports

- Three routes connecting Asia with Persian Gulf ports

In light of the current instability in the area, the OCEAN Alliance has also decided to temporarily halt its two services from Asia to the Red Sea.
