Job Information Job Description • Participate in the general planning of electrical/electronic maintenance. • Plan all duties and jobs assigned to you and safely execute them accordingly as per Safety Management System, incl. all required documentation. • Support the Shipboard organization and Safety organization. • Effect all electrical maintenance and to control its quality. • Operate the electrical Planned Maintenance System. • Ensure the ship is ready in all electrical aspects for any operational requirements. • Diagnose electrical faults, take remedial action, and report. • Be present in the Engine room during maneuvering unless instructed otherwise by the Chief Engineer or Second Engineer. • Familiarize yourself with the work of Engineers and assist with mechanical maintenance when required. Skills and Qualifications: Prerequisites: • Good command of both spoken and written English • Experience with conventional engine types • Ability to work in a multicultural environment • Hands-on mentality Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as ship Electrician, preferably on vessels with conventional engine types.
