US VISA IS MANDATORY ACCOMODATION ON SHARING BASIS CONTRACT- 4 MONTHS +1/-1 WAGES- USD 5000 PLUS USD 400 ACCOMODATION BONUS Job Description is below : The Second Officer uses specialized knowledge about a ship’s movement, tides, and channel formations to safely navigate the ship along its course using electronic charts and navigational equipment. The Second Officer is a Watch Keeping Officer on the ship. Reports to the Master and Staff Captain for navigation and watch keeping aspects and for all other issues. Keeps the Master informed at all times of the navigational progress of the voyage and some specifics – traffic density, current location, speed etc. Participates in mooring and anchoring operations as well as monitors tender operations. The participation in all Safety Trainings and Drills is compulsory. Duties and Responsibility: One of your main responsibilities is the “Environmental”: • Oversees and assists in the development of the company’s environmental policies, procedures, and systems; and ensures the compliance of the ship with all applicable environmental laws. The Environmental Officer must be familiar with environmental quality standards, marine regulations, and current maritime environmental issues. • In charge to plan and monitor the waste disposal and to fill up the Official Log Book accordingly. • Supervision of the correct waste separation and process on board, in compliance with SMS reference SQ39 Waste Management Organization and Processing Equipment. • MSDS – Material safety data sheet – to ensure to have a safety data sheet for all the hazardous material on board which must be updated and available in the vicinity of the item. IPM- Integrated Pest Management • To monitor the inspections done for avoid the presence and increment of pest on board, update the inventory and follow the correct use of the company Pest Management provider’s instructions and manual. Noon Report • Responsible to update the SMS form Org08, the noon position report in the Log Book, and the fresh water/ gray water daily consumption log. Sanitation • Monitoring the chlorine level on our fresh water are the responsibility of every officer on watch and any unusual situation should be reported to Staff Captain. Vessel Port Operations • Monitor and assure the safety embarkation and disembarkation of the guest during the watch assigned. • Monitor the fresh water and grey water consumption. Staff Captain is to be advised of any eventuality. Emergency Duty As per Shipboard Emergency Organization. Other • Deck Department Responsibility detailed in form ORG 104 Deck Officer’s.
