SEA REWARD Loyalty Scheme Launched by CMA CGM
In a move to mirror the perks of air travel rewards, French shipping company CMA CGM has recently launched a loyalty program for its customers.
Named SEA REWARD, the initiative seeks to "deepen connections with customers while offering them exclusive benefits and a smooth digital experience," as announced in a press release from the company.
Echoing the structure of an airline loyalty program, customers accumulate Nautical Miles starting with their initial booking via SpotOn, CMA CGM's online quoting service. These miles can then be used to obtain discounts on future bills.
Rather than the standard silver, gold, and platinum levels found in typical loyalty programs, CMA CGM has opted for a maritime theme for its program tiers, introducing categories named Lieutenant, Captain, Master, and Admiral.
Access to the program is exclusive to those who book their shipments through the digital platform SpotOn. Initially launched in Europe, the plan is to extend the program to international customers progressively.
Olivier Nivoix, CMA CGM's executive vice president, emphasized the importance of customer loyalty and trust, stating, "Customer loyalty and trust are crucial for CMA CGM and deserve to be rewarded."
