Oceania Cruises has announced changes to the itinerary of the trans-Atlantic crossing aboard the Sirena, scheduled to depart on April 22, 2025.

In a letter sent to passengers, the cruise line revealed that the repositioning voyage will not only feature different ports of call but will also embark from a new departure port. “Due to scheduling changes, your April 22, 2025 voyage will now depart from Miami,” the company stated.

Originally set to depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico, the 14-night cruise will still conclude in Barcelona, Spain. However, the revised itinerary now includes stops in the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, known for its pink-sand beaches and turquoise waters, as well as the Azores, an archipelago in the mid-Atlantic.

These new destinations—Bermuda's Royal Naval Dockyard and Ponta Delgada in the Azores—replace the previously planned visits to Gustavia, St. Barts, and St. John’s, Antigua.

The updated route also includes an additional day at sea, while a scheduled stop in Tangier, Morocco, has been removed. Planned visits to Alicante and Motril in Spain, as well as Funchal, Portugal, will proceed as originally scheduled.

As a gesture of goodwill for the changes, Oceania Cruises is offering a $200 shipboard credit per suite or stateroom. This credit will be automatically applied to guests' onboard accounts and can be used for various services and products during the cruise.

Passengers who booked their flights through Oceania will have their air transportation automatically adjusted to accommodate the new departure from Miami.

“For those who made independent air arrangements, Oceania Cruises will reimburse up to $300 per guest for airfare change fees and/or fare differentials,” the company explained.

Affected guests are advised to submit receipts and official airline documentation showing the charges and payment for reimbursement. Additionally, the statement noted that any pre-booked excursions for the ports that have been removed from the itinerary will be fully refunded to the original method of payment.
