New Pizza Party Record Set Onboard Princess Cruises Ships

To celebrate a new partnership with Chef Tony Gemignani, a 13-time World Pizza Champion, Princess Cruises has achieved a Guinness World Record title for the “World’s Largest Pizza Party” held at multiple venues aboard its ships, where guests enjoyed over 60,000 slices of freshly baked pizza prepared by the line’s master chefs.

Chef Gemignani crafted two exclusive pizzas for Princess, featuring a variety of savory flavors and premium ingredients such as Soppressata sausage and hot honey, as well as agave pesto and fresh goat cheese. Additionally, he provided recipes for three of his award-winning signature pizzas, enhancing Princess's reputation for offering the Best Pizza at Sea.

“There was great excitement on board as Princess Cruises set a Guinness World Records title for the World’s Largest Pizza Party at multiple venues,” said Callie Smith, Adjudicator from Guinness World Records.

These new pizza creations by Chef Gemignani will debut at Alfredo’s on the new Sun Princess, expanding the ship’s culinary offerings. Plans are in place to introduce these pizzas to the rest of the fleet this summer. Chef Gemignani personally trained Princess chefs at his Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco and onboard Princess ships, ensuring that all five pizzas are meticulously prepared to match his original, hand-crafted standards at sea.
