Latsco Shipping, based in Greece, has placed an order for four LR2 tankers with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea.

Sources within the industry have revealed that the order, announced by the Ulsan-based shipbuilder in a regulatory document, is for the company led by Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis.

These 115,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt) tankers, which will include scrubber installations, are set to be constructed by Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of the dockyard. The delivery schedule for these vessels spans from the last quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2027, with the cost per ship estimated at approximately $69.6 million.

As per maritime records, Latsco currently operates a fleet of seven LR2 vessels. Additionally, the company has seven other vessels under construction across the dry bulk and Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) categories.
