Job Overview

Job Information Job Description Auxiliary Engines (Generators) : Their most critical duty. They maintain the diesel generators that provide all electrical power to the ship. Boilers & Fuel Systems : Oversees the ship's steam boilers and the fuel/lube oil purifiers (centrifuges) that clean the fuel before it enters the engines. Pumps & Air Compressors : Maintains the various pumps (ballast, fire, bilge) and the high-pressure air compressors used for starting the main engine. Watchkeeping : Typically stands the 08:00–12:00 and 20:00–24:00 engine room watches. They monitor gauges, log machinery data, and respond to technical alarms. Bunkering Assistance : Plays a key role during fuel oil transfers, often monitoring the overflow system and assisting senior engineers with tank soundings. Safety Maintenance : Often tasked with the upkeep of the lifeboat engines, emergency fire pumps, and the ship’s sewage treatment plant. Skills and Qualifications: AT LEAST 18 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE AS 3RD ENGINEER WITH OR WITHOUT VALID US VISA  HOLDING VALID DOCUMENTS  Benefits JOB EMPLOYMENT
