Job Information Job Description Electrical Power Generation : Maintaining the main and emergency switchboards, generators, and high-voltage distribution systems. Navigation & Communication Aids : Troubleshooting GPS, Radar, ECDIS, autopilot, and satellite communication systems (GMDSS). Automation & Control : Overseeing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), vessel management systems, and engine room instrumentation. Hotel & Safety Systems : Managing the ship’s internal IT networks, fire detection systems, air conditioning, and refrigeration units. Dynamic Positioning (DP) : On specialized vessels, ETOs ensure the seamless integration of sensors and thrusters required for the ship to maintain a fixed position.
