Job Information Job Description Core Responsibilities DP Operations: Operates and monitors the DP system to maintain the ship’s position and heading during critical offshore missions. This includes managing DP sensors, reference systems (e.g., GPS, laser, taut wire), and power management systems. Bridge Watchkeeping: Traditionally stands the 12–4 watch (midnight–4 AM and noon–4 PM), overseeing safe navigation, traffic avoidance (COLREGs), and weather monitoring. Passage Planning: Acts as the primary Navigational Officer , responsible for creating and updating voyage plans, corrected charts (ECDIS and paper), and nautical publications. Medical & Safety: Often designated as the ship’s Medical Officer , maintaining the hospital and medical locker. They may also serve as a Safety Officer, inspecting life-saving and firefighting appliances. Operational Support: Assists the Chief Officer during cargo, ballast, and mooring operations. Skills and Qualifications: AT LEAST 18 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE AS 2ND OFFICER DPO WITH OR WITHOUT VALID US VISA  HOLDING VALID DOCUMENTS  Benefits JOB EMPLOYMENT
