A container ship, the Tokyo Bay, has deviated from its course and collided with a Ro-Ro ferry, the Dersa FB-30, at the Port of Santos, Brazil.

The Dersa FB-30, a ferry used for transporting cars and passengers, was docked at the maintenance pier when the 271-meter-long, 80,578-dwt Tokyo Bay struck it.

Authorities quickly dispatched a response team, and fortunately, no personnel were aboard the ferry at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported among the crew of the containership either. Both vessels sustained minor damage and have not experienced any water ingress.
