Coast Guard Evacuates Seaman with Stroke Symptoms from Tanker

A 39-year-old male crew member showing signs of a stroke was evacuated from the oil tanker Polaris Voyager around midday on November 5th.

The US Coast Guard San Diego Joint Harbor Operations Center received a report of the man's condition at approximately 12:10 PM. In response, an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter was dispatched to the tanker’s location, and the patient was airlifted at around 12:30 PM.

The crew member was swiftly transported to Hospital La Jolla in San Diego, where he arrived by 2:30 PM. Reports confirm that he is now in stable condition.
