Carnival Legend Begins Repositioning Cruise to Mediterranean
After wrapping up a series of summer cruises in Northern Europe, the Carnival Legend is embarking on a repositioning journey to the Eastern Mediterranean. The nine-night cruise departs from Dover and includes stops at several notable destinations in England, Portugal, Spain, and Italy, such as La Coruña, Lisbon, Cartagena, and Málaga.
The cruise concludes in Civitavecchia, which will serve as the ship’s new homeport in the Mediterranean region.
For the next two months, the Carnival Legend will offer a series of ten-night cruises, exploring the Greek Islands, Italy, and Turkey. Departing roundtrip from Civitavecchia, the ship’s regular itinerary includes visits to Messina, Naples, Mykonos, Santorini, Katakolon, and Kusadasi.
Each of these cruises also features a stop in Piraeus, giving passengers the opportunity to explore Athens and its surrounding areas.
Once the Mediterranean schedule is completed in late October, the Carnival Legend will embark on a trans-Atlantic cruise to Tampa. This 15-night repositioning voyage will sail from Civitavecchia, with planned stops in Spain, Portugal, and the Bahamas.
During the 2024-25 winter season, the Carnival Legend will offer six- to eight-night cruises to the Caribbean, departing from Tampa.
Prior to repositioning to the Eastern Mediterranean, the Carnival Legend arrived in Europe in early May, where it operated nine- to 12-night itineraries to destinations including the British Isles, Iceland, Scandinavia, and the North Sea.
The ship also completed an eight-night cruise to the Western Mediterranean before undergoing scheduled maintenance at the Chantier Naval de Marseille in France.
During this drydock, the ship received technical upgrades and renovations to its public areas and staterooms. Notable additions include the debut of the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a rebranded spa, Chef’s Table, Dreams Studio, and a dedicated space for Carnival Adventures.
