$300M Transport Pact for Wallenius Wilhelmsen
The Norwegian vehicle transport specialist Wallenius Wilhelmsen has finalized a transport contract valued at approximately $300 million, set to span three years.
This significant agreement involves a major Swedish manufacturing entity, remaining unnamed, with the contract extending over a three-year period and offering an option for a two-year renewal. The valuation of nearly $300 million is predicated on the anticipated shipment volumes throughout the initial three years.
Initiating in January 2024, Wallenius Wilhelmsen confirms that the pricing terms are consistent with the prevailing market condition,
Pia Synnerman, the Chief Customer Officer at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, highlighted the alignment with their partner on environmental goals, stating, “Sharing our commitment towards sustainability, as part of the new agreement we are in discussions with the customer on both short and long-term strategic decarbonization initiatives.”
Additionally, Wallenius Wilhelmsen has been prominently featured in recent news, securing two extensive shipping contracts totaling around $1.2 billion earlier in January. These include a separate deal with a South Korean construction equipment manufacturer and the enhancement of its fleet with two new ships.
